If there's one winter activity to get you into the spirit of Christmas, it's ice skating. There's nothing like sipping on your hot chocolate as you laugh at your inability to stay on your feet!

Ice skating requires a lot of courage and balance, but once the skill is mastered, it's a great stress reliever from the rush of holiday shopping!

There's nothing like spending time in the freezing cold outdoors, balancing on sharp, metal blades atop a sheet of ice, all while enjoying a cup of hot chocolate. If you happen to fall, don't fret -- everyone around you is struggling to stay up on their skates, too! Here are the four best places to go ice skating in Hampton Roads.
