I get it: a bouquet of flowers can be expensive, especially around Valentine's Day, when you know those prices are skyrocketing.
Is it worth it, though, to risk a "we-need-to-talk" conversation (or maybe a black eye) from your significant other by giving them a few daisies already dying in the vase? Or a gorgeous red rose a la Beauty and the Beast, but upon touching its petals, it turns out to be as plastic as a piece of tupperware?
It's your call. Some people swoon over flowers. Some don't. But, you know, maybe on such a romantic day, dishing out a few more dollars for a real rose might be worth it.
