Look at that handsome pup!!

Alfie Wiedelman is a senior dog, going on 12 years old. He came from the Denver Dumb Friends League about two years ago and was considered a “special needs dog,” due to his arthritis and skin infections. His new mom fell in love with his sweet face and gentle soul immediately and never went back.

After he was adopted his first stop was the Animal Care Center of Castle Pines where “Team Alfie” came to be. Veterinarian Dr. Brooke worked with physical therapists to develop a treatment plan just for Alfie! Everyone from the front desk people to the vet techs fell in love with Alfie and was cheering him on the whole time.

Alfie got all his adjustments, special treatments and custom exercise to help walking be less painful. Soon he was up-and-at-em’ walking a mile twice a day! He has made so much progress from hardly being able to stand. The amazing people at Animal Care Center of Castle Pines helped this pup live a happier, more fulfilled life. All thanks to the care and love they put into their work. Keep an eye out each month for the next ACC Pet of the Month and see more heartwarming stories like Alfie's!
