Utilizing a similar type of format found on other dating apps such as Tinder, users swipe on topics rather than people first. Swipe down for hate, up for love, right for like, and left for dislike or neutral. There is also the option to view the percentages of how other people responded with each reaction by pressing down.

Like any app, there is bound to be some glitches. Unfortunately, location is not a filter, so you may end up matching with someone over two hundred miles away, versus someone two miles away. The app also takes its time to load every now and then, so be patient. Hater is a new app and while it does have developmental issues, it is all part of the growing process!
