The perfect time to hunker down, Colorado winter weather is blowing in just in time for the holiday week!

Time for round two of the season! Just last week we had a little more snowfall than originally expected. After a relatively unseasonably warm start to the season the incredibly welcome Colorado winter weather is headed back around!

Starting early Monday morning, the high country will start to get dumped on, creating great powder for skiing and snowboarding if that’s what you had planned for your holiday weekend. The mountains and the front range will get the best dose of snow along with some spots west of the Continental Divide, which is expecting several inches. The San Juan’s will see some of the highest totals with 8-14 inches. Colorado Winter weather If you look out your windows toward the mountains you can see that weather brewing. By late Monday into early Tuesday morning a little rain will start to develop. It is expected that rain will turn to snow in some spots as the rainstorm moves away Tuesday afternoon. Light snowfall is also expected for Turkey Day in the northern and central mountains as well. Hopefully it blows this way, and we get a snow like last week to make the streets perfectly picturesque for Thanksgiving. Just be careful if you’re driving around in the Colorado winter weather! There was a 20-car crash last week on i-70 - so please be safe and responsible drivers! Colorado winter weather If you’re looking to travel to grandma’s this year, it’s suggested you wait until Wednesday to make your trek! With the rainy wintery mix on the horizon, you want to travel on the safest day possible. What are your Thanksgiving family plans this year? Do you plan to play in the potential snow?
