The Littleton Whole Foods on Wadsworth has become a temporary home to some local wildlife after a mother goose laid her eggs in one of their medians.

Visitors to the Littleton Whole Foods are in for a little surprise in the parking lot! A mother goose has set up shop in one of the medians and laid her eggs, and the store has gone above and beyond to keep her and her eggs safe. They've set up a barricade of caution tape around the goose's median to keep people away from her. Two and a half weeks ago, the store's team leader noticed a pair of geese hovering around in the parking lot. Then the pair began building a nest, and finally the female laid her eggs. The staff called Parks & Wildlife, which said that leaving the mother and her eggs there would be best for the pair and their eggs. The staff at Whole Foods and their customers have done all they can to keep mama goose happy. One customer left a kiddie pool in the barricade, which the store diligently keeps filled so mom can swim without leaving her nest too far behind. Other customers bring corn and greens out for her to eat. Dad mostly stays across the street at the creek, but does come check on mom and the nest a few times a day.
The store is expecting the chicks to be born sometime around May 5, and they've already made plans in case mom wants to take the goslings to the creek. Police and animal control are on call in case mom and babies need to cross Wadsworth, so they can guide the family through.
