When you book a weekend getaway at the Salamander Resort and Spa, you may be fortunate enough to be greeted by the estate’s most recently hired staff, Cupcake.

No, not a plate of delicious, complimentary pastries ... rather, the miniature horse, who made her big debut last week at the Salamander Resort and Spa! If you’re lucky enough to cross paths with her during your stay, feel free to reach out with any grievances you’ve experienced since checking-in. Although, she probably won’t have more than an adorable, little whinny to say in response!

From luxury dining to adventurous outdoor activities, this retreat truly meets all of your holiday needs. Even so, you may be as tempted as we are to make a reservation just for a chance to fawn over Cupcake in-person. Make the most of her celebrity appearance by complimenting your time together with the Salamander Resort and Spa’s newest beverage (inspired by the dainty, daring steed herself) the Cupcake Cocktail. Who says after a certain age you’re too old for a few sprinkles in your drink? This yummy mixed beverage is as sweet as the adorable mini-horse it was named after; blending a dash of Godiva with vanilla vodka and topping it all off with house-made whipped cream and a handful of rainbow sprinkles. Though you may initially feel disappointed to find Cupcake’s visits brief (she usually makes her rounds between 4 and 5 p.m.), you can always find her chillin’ at the Equestrian Center. Even better, the Salamander Resort and Spa is pet friendly. So, when you’ve gotten your fill gushing over how a horse could possibly be so adorably petite, you’ve got your very own furry friend eagerly awaiting some snuggle time in your luxury hotel room! What do you think? Have you ever enjoyed a weekend at the Salamander Resort and Spa? If so, what was your favorite activity you tried? If not, will you be staying there soon?
