A spill-proof cup that kids actually want to drink out of.

As a parent, one of the banes of my existence is cleaning up spilled food and drink. My son is not quite 2, and it seems I'm constantly cleaning up after him, especially after mealtimes. I haven't found a solution to food crumbs yet, but I have found a pretty good solution to spilled sippy cups. Contigo's Kids Spill-Proof Tumbler actually lives up to its name!

We've only owned one for a few weeks, but I have yet to see any major spills. I've even tipped it over myself, and not a drop has come out.

When I went in search of a new "sippy cup" for my son, I wanted something that looked like one of my cups. He's constantly trying to drink out of my Starbucks Stainless Steel Cold Cup Tumbler or my CamelBak eddy.  While I didn't think getting one in his size would deter him completely (trust me, it hasn't), I thought it would at least help matters (which it does!).

Now on to the cons. Based on the reviews, it does seem like mold is an issue. So far, I've only put water in this cup. I like to take this tumbler on-the-go and don't want to worry about milk or juice getting warm. There are a few parts you have to take apart (which I think keeps it spill-proof), but apparently, mold can get trapped in there. To be honest, this can happen with almost any child's cup. Do your best, and if you have an issue, contact their customer service. Judging from their website, they're very responsive!

As for price, it varies. I purchased ours from Target for $8.99 (before our Target RedCard discount), while Contigo's own website sells them for $9.99. If you look on Amazon, they range from $8.79 to $11.99 depending on the color you choose. They also have value packs on Amazon where you can purchase three for $22-$25. While I wouldn't call these cheap by any means, they are less expensive than the CamelBak eddy Kids for instance.

Contigo also sells a variety of other kids' water bottles which I'm excited to try out at some point, as well as a variety of adult versions. I also love that "Every Contigo product is engineered with your on-the-go lifestyle in mind, because it’s our lifestyle, too. We commute a long way to work via bus or train (or both), have active households, and like our morning coffee piping hot and our post-workout water icy cold." Their website goes on to say, "We get it. We also track your questions, comments, and suggestions and then we actually apply them."
