"You may know me from the news, but if not, I just wanted to remind you that I was shot with an arrow by some awful people. But I'm on the road to recovery and am healing up beautifully. Even though I have been through quite the traumatic experience, I still have this strong will to live and have a heart of gold. I still trust and love people and am actually quite affectionate despite what I have been through—you can pick me up and give me pets or I will come up and sit in your lap asking for attention. I would really love a safe place to call home!"

"I have been the longest resident at both the Louisiana shelter and the VBSPCA, but despite that, I am the staff favorite at both. I'm their go-to guy for dog-to-dog testing and events because I'm one awesome dude! I really do love everyone, other dogs, kids, and getting attention plus I'm very low-key and won't require much time and attention other than a daily walk and snuggle sesh on the couch. Please take me home, here!"

"I'm a very energetic dude who will need lots of exercise (playtime and daily walks) to keep me calm. I do ask to be the only pet in the house though because I am a bit nervous, even when meeting new people, so please don't get mad at me if I'm reluctant at first. I will need a patient owner to give me time to settle into my new home after just being in a noisy shelter. If I sound like a fit, check me out here, here!"
