Jazz clubs were at the top of socialite culture in the 1920s. Today, there are several jazz venues in Denver that are still delivering guests that unique sound, even after all of these years. Here are the top three places to listen to jazz music in Denver.

Jazz music has had an influence on folks for decades, pulling inspiration from all over the world and throughout history. I'll be honest, I was never truly a fan of jazz music. However, after seeing La La Land -- which if you haven't seen it, I highly suggest you do because it's amazing! -- I've now gained a new appreciation for jazz, and it has quickly become a favorite genre of mine. It's sadly a lost art, but the following music venues keep it alive and well. Here are some of the best jazz venues around Denver!

Dazzle Jazz Lounge

[gallery columns="2" size="large" ids="20070,20069"] Considered to be Denver's Premier Jazz Venue, Dazzle certainly sparkles in the heart of Denver. While the venue itself may be small, the pure soul of Dazzle is larger than life! There are always talented artists stopping by, and if you're interested in seeing who will be playing on certain nights, you should check out the calendar for updates. You should know that seeing performances are not always free, and fees will depend on the artist, but typically admission ranges from free to $40. Tickets can be purchased through the calendar. As you listen to the soothing sound of rhythm and blues, you'll enjoy the delicious food and drinks Dazzle has to offer its customers. From succulent BBQ shrimp, to traditional dishes such as salad, steak, and pizza, your stomach will thank you. View the entire menu. El Chapultepec

[gallery columns="2" size="large" ids="20072,20071"] The oldest jazz and blues club in Denver is the one and only El Chapultepec, which has been delivering incredible live music since 1933! Various musical artists perform each night at 9 p.m, playing jazz, blues, and even rock. So, if you're interested in hearing fantastic music, check out the calendar to see the lineup! Not only is the music incredible -- so is El Chapultepec's food! The kitchen is open from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m., giving you the chance to fill your stomach with delicious food all day long! There's everything from burritos and tacos to hamburgers. Just make sure you stop by the ATM before you arrive, because the bar only takes cash. View the full menu here. Nocturne Jazz & Supper Club

[gallery columns="2" size="large" ids="20075,20074"] Since 2014, Nocturne has been celebrating Denver's rich jazz heritage by combining good music, food, and drinks and making it into a place where fans of jazz music can meet and listen to local artists. The venue immediately transports you to New York City in the 1920s. With the Art Deco style and classy details, Nocturne stands above the rest in terms of aesthetic. The atmosphere is sleek and cool. Music is played nightly, from 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday. There are also late night sessions on Fridays and Saturdays, from 11 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Musical guests will perform in an eight-week run that focuses on the "exploration of a musical icon, the study of a particular era or genre of jazz, or their own original works." You can view the schedule here. The menu at Nocturne is quite impressive, to say the least. Between fresh oysters, sliders, and duck croquettes, the jazz club aims to give guests a culinary experience unlike anything else! Their wines and cocktails are just as impressive. View the wine and cocktail menu here. For more information on Nocturne, visit its Facebook page or website. Have you been to any of the above jazz venues?
