Check out this week's pets up for adoption!

As we descend into summer, we're gonna want to spend more time outdoors! And what better way to do that than get a furry companion to experience it with? We've compiled a list of the cutest pets available in Maryland.

Check out this week's adorable options!

Maryland SPCA | Baltimore

The Maryland SPCA is a great organization that can be found at 3300 Falls Road, Baltimore, MD 21211 – contact them at 410-235-8826 if you have any questions about the pets. Check out their adoption policy here! And don't forget to check them out on Facebook!

Marco Pablo, 3

Courtesy of Maryland SPCA

A border collie mix, appearing to be half pit bull, Marco Pablo is a sweet and happy pup (just look at that smile)! He requires an active home as border collies are hyperactive dogs and need daily walks and a good game of fetch! Marco has lived peaceably with other animals previously. Find him here!

Dempsy, 4

Courtesy of Maryland SPCA

If you are looking for a cat that does it all, look no further. Dempsey loves to get some attention and then will retreat for a bit to have some time alone. Bonus, she is a brave girl who will be a good traveling companion (she's good in the car). Meet her here!

Animal Care Shelter for Kent County | Chestertown

The Animal Care Shelter is the local shelter for Chestertown, Maryland, and can be found at 10720 Augustine Herman Hwy, Chestertown, Maryland, 21620. Contact them at 410-778-3648 if you have any questions. Check out their adoption policy here

Classie, 5

Courtesy of Animal Care Shelter for Kent County

Classie's smile is undeniable, making her hard to miss! She will require some additional training but otherwise has excellent manners. It is recommended that she go to a home with older children as she is still hyperactive and has a lot of stamina and strength. Though Classie gets along with other doggos, she's not recommended to live in a home with cats. Visit her here!

Elle Driver, 3

Courtesy of Animal Care Shelter for Kent County

Elle is a sweet girl who prefers to be in a quiet home with older children and calm dogs. Don't let her eye injury fool you; she is still full of love and is quite the charmer. She was found living in an abandoned house and was hesitant to come with staff, but warmed up to them once she entered the shelter. Meet her here!

Montgomery County Animal Services and Adoption Center | Derwood

Montgomery County Animal Services and Adoption Center is an amazing shelter that cares for homeless, abused, and neglected animals. You can find them at 7315 Muncaster Mill Road, Derwood, MD 20855 -- you can call them at 240-773-5900 if you have any questions. Check out their adoption policy here, and check out their website and Facebook!

Rocky, 2

Courtesy of Montgomery County Animal Services and Adoption Center

Rocky is a shy boy who will need an owner who can break him out of his shell. He sure loves his cuddles and will jump up on benches during your walk to see if it's cuddle time. The staff has informed us that he is potty-trained, so there will be no accidents in the home. He often gets overlooked at the shelter and has been there for over a year. Check him out here!

Nadya, 1

Courtesy of Montgomery County Animal Services and Adoption Center

Currently, in foster care, Nadya is a social kitty who is not shy around other humans or strangers! Her favorite activities include sunbathing, eating, and following her foster mom around the house. She is perfect for someone who is looking for an active cat! She would do best in a home without any other kitties. Meet her here!

Baltimore Humane Society | Baltimore

Found at 1601 Nicodemus Road Reisterstown, MD 21136, the Baltimore Humane Society strives to offer a temporary home or refuge for abandoned or unwanted pets! Call them at 410-833-8848 if you have any questions about their available animals. Check them out on Facebook and their website!

Fresca, 9

Courtesy of Mary Swift

Don't let Fresca's age fool you, she has a long life ahead of her and just loves to be around other dogs. She loves to snuggle with you and play frisbee in the back yard. Since she is a senior, she has surpassed the puppy phase, so extra training is not required. Find her here!

Equinox, 10

Courtesy of Mary Swift

Equinox is the definition of a lazy man couch potato cat. Don't be offended if he doesn't ask for your attention right away – his bed is just too comfortable and cozy! This man will cuddle with you while you watch your TV shows, but he's a sucker for a good wand toy. Meet him here!

SPCA of Anne Arundel County | Annapolis

The SPCA of Anne Arundel County is the local shelter for Annapolis, Maryland. Visit them at 1815 Bay Ridge Avenue or call them at 410-268-4388. Also, you can check them out on Facebook and their website!

Zeus, Za-Man, 7

Courtesy of SPCA of Anne Arundel County

Zeus or Za-Man is a large dog who loves to play with his toys, get a good head scratch, and be the only dog in the home. I guarantee that if you take him for a walk (which he needs and loves), you will fall in love with him instantly. Just look at how adorable he looks all dressed up for Easter! Find him here!

Pippa Eurayle, 9

Courtesy of SPCA of Anne Arundel County

Pippa Eurayle is a gorgeous silver tabby cat who appears to be the sweetest cat in the world. Check out those captivating green eyes! Find her here!

Baltimore Barcs Animal Rescue and Care Shelter | Baltimore

Nebraska (aka Nelly), 3

Courtesy of Baltimore Barcs Animal Rescue and Care Shelter

Quite reserved in personality, Nelly is the definition of the perfect dog – fantastic with people, loves to give kisses, doesn't raid through the trash or tear up clothing, and fully potty-trained. She gets along with other dogs but could honestly take them or leave them. Find her here!

Buttersworth, 8

Courtesy of Baltimore Barcs Animal Rescue and Care Shelter

A senior cat, Buttersworth is looking for a retirement home where he can spend the rest of his life. He loves his pets, snuggles, playing with toys, and watching birds, so please get him a window unit to relax in. Check him out here!
