There are plenty of smiles up for adoption this week!

From happy smiles to curious faces, there are plenty of social animals up for adoption this week! We've compiled a list of the cutest pets available in Maryland.

Check out this week's adorable options!

Maryland SPCA | Baltimore

The Maryland SPCA is a great organization that can be found at 3300 Falls Road, Baltimore, MD 21211 – contact them at 410-235-8826 if you have any questions about the pets. Check out their adoption policy here! And don't forget to check them out on Facebook!

Gertie, 1

Gertie Pit Bull Dog

Her smile just says, "If you take me home, I will be the happiest girl in the world!" Gertie has lived with children previously, but not dogs, and would do best in a home with older children. As her smile might tell you, she is a hyperactive girl, so she would require an active home where she can get plenty of walks and playtime! Bonus, she's already house-trained at only 1, so she will be the perfect addition to your family! Please consider her for adoption here!

Tater Tot, 9 months

Tater Tot Black Kitten

This lucky girl is currently in a foster home living the dream, so she is already used to a home environment. Tater Tot is an independent kitty who loves to explore and be left alone most of the time, meaning, "please don't touch me a lot." Although she does love her alone time, Tater Tot loves to play with toys and other cats so she would do best in a home with another kitty friend for her to play with! If you want to take home this adorable kitten, find her here!

Animal Care Shelter for Kent County | Chestertown

The Animal Care Shelter is the local shelter for Chestertown, Maryland, and can be found at 10720 Augustine Herman Hwy, Chestertown, Maryland, 21620. Contact them at 410-778-3648 if you have any questions. Check out their adoption policy here!

Taco and Belle, 10

Two Chihuahua's

You get double the love when you take home this bonded pair. They both love to be held and get their fair share of head scratches! Sadly, their previous owner fell ill and could no longer take care of them, so they were surrendered at no fault of their own. They would prefer a home with another small buddy to play with, and they would do great with children. Adopt them here!

Arancia, 1-5

Do you see her extra toes? They make her unique! Are you looking for an attention hog? Consider taking home this affectionate kitty who will share all the love in the world with you (hint, hint, she loves to snuggle)! Seriously, this girl will snuggle up on any lap that she can find, so she is definitely considered a social cat! Meet her here!

Montgomery County Animal Services and Adoption Center | Derwood

Montgomery County Animal Services and Adoption Center is an amazing shelter that cares for homeless, abused, and neglected animals. You can find them at 7315 Muncaster Mill Road, Derwood, MD 20855 -- you can call them at 240-773-5900 if you have any questions. Check out their adoption policy here, and check out their website and Facebook!

Bear, 9

Bear, Dog

Courtesy of Montgomery County Animal Services and Adoption Center

This boy is the staff favorite because of his sweet nature and social skills, which are used to test the social skills of the other dogs in the shelter. Considering his social nature, Bear loves other dogs and wishes to play with them as often as he can, but he is not a fan of cats or small children. Bear has a toy guarding habit, so he shouldn't have access to toys in his new home unless a positive-reinforcement counselor works with him. Consider rescuing him here

Scully, 10

Not much is known about Scully, but his big yellow eyes are just gorgeous! Check him out here!

Baltimore Humane Society | Baltimore

Found at 1601 Nicodemus Road, Reisterstown, MD 21136, the Baltimore Humane Society strives to offer a temporary home or refuge for abandoned or unwanted pets! Call them at 410-833-8848 if you have any questions about their available animals. Check them out on Facebook and their website!

Sophie, 7

Sophie Pit Bull dog

Just look at those warm brown eyes! If her ears and sweet face aren't enough to take this girl home, then I don't know what else is. According to shelter staff, she's so sweet that "she will give you a cavity." Sophie does not like to be left home alone, so it would be best if she goes to a family who can be with her all day long. Please consider her for adoption here!

Tiger Lily, 10

We have found the perfect cat for you! Tiger Lily is a social girl who loves to walk around on a leash, has lived with cats previously, and will say hello to anyone she meets. She's the purrfect substitution for the dog lover because her personality is very dog-like. If you want to consider adopting her, check her out here!

SPCA of Anne Arundel County | Annapolis

The SPCA of Anne Arundel County is the local shelter for Annapolis, Maryland. Visit them at 1815 Bay Ridge Avenue, or call them at 410-268-4388. Also, you can check them out on Facebook and their website!

Kylo Jace, 3

Kylo Jace Dog

Courtesy of SPCA of Anne Arundel County

Not much is known about this boy, but he is a very large dog and appears to be a terrier mix of some sort! Kylo Jace looks like he would be a big snuggle bug! You can find him here!

Patrick, 2

Patrick, Cat

Courtesy of SPCA of Anne Arundel County

Do you see how black his eyes are? That means he is stimulated and interested in what's going on in front of him. Patrick appears to be very social and friendly kitty so he would be perfect for a somewhat active home! We suggest purchasing one of the window loungers for him so he can watch the birds all day long. Just look at how curious he is of the camera! Meet him here!

Baltimore Barcs Animal Rescue and Care Shelter | Baltimore

Baltimore Barcs Animal Rescue is a wonderful shelter in Baltimore that can be found at 301 Stockholm St., Baltimore, MD 21230. Call them at 410-396-4695 if you have any questions. Check them out on Facebook and their website, and take a look at their adoption policy here!

Neno, 7

Pit Bull Dog

Just look at how he is hugging onto the staff – he's really a sweetheart! Neno is a very happy boy who is looking for a place to call home! See him here!

Victor, 7

Victor, Cat

This poor boy has no teeth, but that doesn't stop him from begging for food or treats. Victor enjoys lying around and napping for most of the day, but he will occasionally let you know when he wants to have playtime. Victor gets along great with both dogs and cats so he would do fine in a home with other animals! Consider him for adoption here!
