The cookout will feature vegan twists on your BBQ favorites. Rather than a meat burger, black bean burgers will be on the menu. Hot dogs will be replaced by carrot dogs, and sloppy joes will be subbed for BBQ pulled jackfruit. There will also be several vegan sides and of course, vegan dessert. Fruit infused and regular water will also be provided. You can check out the full expected menu here.
This is a great event to come with friends, your family, or just by yourself so you can meet new people! There will be activities all day long, from live entertainment, to music, to fun crafts for kids. You’ll also be able to learn about health, wellness, and eating vegan from local vendors present. Collective Health Initiative and DAM Good Vegan are hosting the event to promote more vegan education and let people know that eating vegan is a healthier way of life, without compromising taste.
