The Lock House Craft Beer & Wine Festival brings together history, local culture and drinks for a fun-filled event in Havre De Grace, Maryland.

Drink for a good cause at the Lock House Craft Beer & Wine Festival! This festival benefits the Lock House Museum and helps preserve this historic site, while combining it with alcohol and activities, including live music, artisans, and food celebrating Maryland culture. When: April 14, 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. (rain or shine) Where: Lock House Museum, 817 Conesteo Street, Havre De Grace, Maryland 21078 Tickets are $35 in advance and $40 at the gate. Early birds can buy tickets for just $30 until March 16. Designated drivers get in for free. Get your tickets here. Admission to the event includes a souvenir cup for tastings and unlimited samples of drinks. If visitors find a drink they enjoy they can buy a bottle of it to take home. The event is boasted to have over 25 different beer vendors alone! Visitors can taste samples as well as buy bottles from their favorite local breweries, distilleries and wineries such as Independent Brewing Co., Old Line Spirits, Twin Valley Distillers, Fiore Winery, Falling Branch Brewery and Distillery, and more. The Lock House Museum is a beautiful and exciting excursion in Northern Maryland. Nestled next to the Susquehanna River, the museum offers beautiful views near Havre De Grace's downtown area. The Lock House was operational from 1840 to the 1890s as a home and office for canal workers, and when the canal ceased operations, the house served as a rental property for 70 years. Visitors should note that while the Lock House Museum is a great attraction for children, the festival is for those 21 and older. What do you think?
