Every fourth Friday throughout the summer, Fairfax Friday Rock the Block treats you to free concerts, food vendors, and a beer garden at Old Town Square in Fairfax City!

Fairfax Friday Rock the Block returned for a new season on Friday, May 25 -- and if you missed it, don't worry! The next one is right around the corner on June 22! You’ll enjoy live music, food vendors from local restaurants, and a beer garden! Bring a lawn chair or blanket, kick back, and relax with your friends and neighbors.

What You Need to Know

This free summer concert series is held in Old Town Square in Fairfax City the fourth Friday of every month from May to October. Concerts begin at 6:30 p.m. and end at 9:30 p.m. Old Town Square is located in the heart of historic downtown Fairfax at 10415 North Street, adjacent to Old Town Hall. Parking can be found at Old Town Village Parking, a parking lot at University Drive and Sager Ave, and a parking lot at Main Street and East Street.
Food vendors include Red, Hot & Blue, The Inside Scoop, French Quarter Brasserie, Coyote Grille, Hard Times Cafe, and Bacon's BBQ. There are strict alcohol regulations! No alcohol can be brought to the event; all alcohol must be purchased on site. Everyone needs to present an ID -- regardless of age -- and wear a wristband. Only two alcoholic beverages can be bought by any single person at one time. Alcohol sales start at 6 p.m. and end at 9 p.m. Fairfax Friday Rock the Block is hosted by the City of Fairfax Parks and Recreation.
