Who doesn’t love a good rooftop party?
Come to Room & Board to mingle with Jessica Merchant -- blogger and author of a new book, The Pretty Dish -- on Thursday, June 21. The event will start at 6:30 p.m., up on the rooftop of the furniture store Room & Board. Located on the lively 14th Street, from the rooftop of the store, you’ll be able to see all of the street and beyond. It’s a great vantage point overlooking Washington, D.C. The store’s address is 1840 14th Street NW, Washington, D.C., 20009. Jessica, who began her career by writing the popular food blog, How Sweet Eats, will host a conversation and signing for her new book, The Pretty Dish, which is both a cookbook and a décor book, and makes for a pretty sight at a coffee table. You’ll also have the opportunity to learn tips and tricks from Jessica herself during her talk and the question and answer portion. [gallery type="rectangular" ids="9701,9702"] Munch on light snacks and sip on summer-themed cocktails, as well as beer and wine, all provided by Room & Board. The event will also feature sweet desserts, straight from the cookbook.
Designers working at Room & Board will also be present to help you with any home inquires you may have, and the entire store will remain open during the entire event, so you can get some shopping in as well.
