Since its opening, District Wharf has been the waterfront destination for restaurants, water activities, and all kinds of events.

It just keeps getting better because the Wharf has added another summer event that will get you dancing, drinking, and partying the night away. Come join the southwest waterfront on the first Saturday in July and August for Saturday Night Dancing. Each night will have its own theme -- July’s being country line dancing, and August’s being salsa night. You’ll have the opportunity to dance to live music on the pier overlooking the river, as well as enjoy cocktails from various participating restaurants.
If you don’t know how to country line dance, that’s totally fine! Professional dancers will be present to show you all the right moves before you go out on your own. They will also perform several times for the crowd.
“DC Rawhides will start the night with dance instruction and demos, followed by a boot stomping show from the Wil Gravatt band,” the event's website states.
July's dancing night will take place on Saturday, July 7, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the Transit Pier at the waterfront. Get more information here. What a perfect way to spend a warm summer night, right? Make sure to also check out the event calendar, as new events are constantly being added, and there’s almost always something going on every day of the week.
