In the press release, Cherry Creek Shopping Center stated the steps the staff will be taking to prioritize the customers' health and safety above all else. Cleaning and disinfecting are the top priority, focusing on high-touch and high-traffic surfaces and cleaning them frequently throughout the day and after hours. Additionally, cleaning staff will use stronger disinfectants when they are available.
Shoppers who visit the mall are required to use masks and there will be signs and decals to remind customers to follow social distancing guidelines. There will also be hand sanitizer available at designated stations throughout the mall.
In addition to thorough cleanliness and face-covering requirements, Cherry Creek will close the play area for children and turn off drinking fountains. It will also reset the seating areas in food courts and common areas to allow for greater social distancing.
Cherry Creek closed in March, along with other retailers, to stop the spread of COVID-19. However, certain stores and restaurants stayed open for curbside pickup during the statewide lockdown order.
