Get paid to work from home and smoke weed.
This company will pay you $3,000 a month to smoke marijuana and test other cannabis products. Yes, it's a real job—and no, it's not too good to be true.
American Marijuana, a New York-based company that has made a name for itself as a medical marijuana resource, is looking for a new employee. The job listing is rather unbelievable: they are looking for a work-at-home team member to test and unbiasedly review a variety of cannabis products. The job is 100 percent legitimate, has flexible hours, involves lots of free marijuana products, and pays $3,000 a month, or $36,000 a year.
There's a little more to the position than just sitting around smoking free weed all day, though.
There are a few must-haves for interested candidates:
- For starters, applicants must live in a state in the United States, or in an area of Canada, where marijuana is legal.
- Those interested must be comfortable on camera and as the subject of videos.
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and be physically fit and healthy.
- Applicants must follow the application process outlined on the American Marijuana website. This will require submitting a resume, filling out an online application, links to social media accounts, and submitting a 60-second video.
This is a serious job and the company is looking for serious candidates. This is a job, and they want someone who is knowledgeable about the use of CBD and other cannabis forms for medical purposes. Don’t expect to be hired just because you like to smoke weed, they want to educate and help their customers.
A new box of cannabis products will be shipped every month. Products will include flowers, edibles, extracts, CBD oils, and much more. The reviewer will try the products, then write about their experience with the products from unboxing to finish. This writing will be done on a blog.
One thing of note is the fine print, where it details that the product testing experience must also be recorded on film and include an in-depth explanation of the experience, essentially documenting how they felt during use, as well as after.
While a bit unusual, this job sounds like it could be a highly enviable position for the lucky person who gets hired, and clearly, there will be no pre-employment drug test to worry about.
The chosen applicant will be notified on December 4, so there's still time to get those videos made and update that resume.
