The opening of the megastore was delayed a year due to the coronavirus.

If you’re planning a trip to New York City this summer, you can be one of the first to experience the newest haven for Harry Potter fans. The flagship location of the Harry Potter store is opening on June 3, 2021, at 935 Broadway. The three-story retail store has the largest collection of Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts products on the planet.

Visitors to the store can download the Harry Potter Club app and use it to discover "enchanted keys" throughout the store with behind-the-scenes stories and videos. The 21,000 square-foot space has 15 themed areas, including the first House of MinaLima, a gallery, and boutique featuring art pieces from Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts designed by the graphic artist duo. Later this summer, the store will open two virtual reality experiences that allow fans to immerse themselves in a Harry Potter adventure.

The store is filled with all kinds of exclusive Harry Potter items like the “Golden Snitch” wand along with more than 50 other wizarding wands. Fans can also personalize their own special wand, journal, or robes. Fans can also get Harry Potter-themed candy, clothing, plush and other accessories, including items from collaborations with Spirit Jerseys, Loungefly handbags, and Pottery Barn Teen.

When you’re tired of shopping, browse at the more than 1,000 props like the 220-pound model of Fawkes the Phoenix and snap a photo at the London phone booth, Hagrid’s boots, or one of the other photo ops in the store. In order to comply with health and safety restrictions, the store will be using a virtual line system that visitors will activate by scanning a QR code with their phones. The system will notify the visitor when it’s their turn to enter.
