Stay "essential" by taking this free online course in construction.
It's highly likely that you've had a lot of downtime recently and may have thought about exploring other career paths. Many institutions have moved their classrooms online to better serve their students due to the restrictions caused by COVID-19, which, in turn, has made it easier than ever to take the time to learn a new skillset. One such institution, the Colorado Homebuilding Academy, has redesigned its Construction Skills Bootcamp to serve the latest batch of future construction professionals.
This three-week program offers live, two-hour instruction four days a week from one of their instructors at either 1:30 p.m. or 5:30 p.m. Class time will include live interactions with various construction professionals to help students determine the right construction career for them. On top of experiencing all of the usual course content that the Academy's in-person Construction Skills Bootcamp teaches, students will get to work with a career coach and participate in OSHA-10 safety instruction. Tuition is free if you’re looking for a new job or promotion in Colorado’s construction industry.
Upon finishing online instruction, students will receive a certificate of completion, career development and placement assistance, OSHA-10 safety certification, access to any current and future hiring events, and an invitation to complete the hands-on component of the Construction Skills Bootcamp when in-person instruction can resume.
Let's see, free education, in-depth learning, and career guidance all in one? What's not to love?!
