Are you a 'people person'?

CarMax is looking to hire 200 new employees to man their Customer Experience Center in Richmond, and a great rapport with shoppers is a must. Across the country, they will be hiring more than 750 new staffers in Atlanta, Kansas City, Raleigh, Phoenix, and Richmond.

“Customer Experience Center associates are critical to CarMax’s success and have an opportunity to truly make a difference in an innovative and collaborative work environment. They help provide our customers with a convenient and personalized car buying experience where customers can do as much of the car buying process from home as they’d like.” —Diane Cafritz, Chief Human Resources Officer for Carmax

With more people staying home and buying things online, it was a natural move for the car dealership to enhance its presence in the virtual marketplace. These openings represent a shift to more web-based interactions. The new hires will come in as Customer Experience Assistants and Consultants with starting salaries at $15 per hour.

The 200 open positions in Virginia are for the Customer Experience Center on Tuckahoe Parkway in Richmond. No car experience is necessary; these roles are more about interacting with customers virtually and helping them use the online resources to make a purchase. Approximately 30 percent of the jobs available nationally will go to Spanish-speaking applicants, so if you are bilingual, take a look at the posting!
