Calling all aspiring actors! Dust off those headshots and apply for a spot as an extra in 'The Good Lord Bird,' a pre-Civil War-era series filming in Powhatan, Virginia.

This epic period piece needs hundreds of actors to bring the sweeping drama to life. The Good Lord Bird series will tell the story of John Brown, an abolitionist, and will star Ethan Hawke. The final product will be aired in eight episodes on Showtime.

Show producers are especially looking for people with Civil War reenactment experience, amputees, and men with equestrian experience or general horseback-riding skills. Actors of all ages and ethnicities are encouraged to apply to play townsfolk, soldiers, and background actors.
