The rescue was conducted by the U.S. Coast Guard along with the help of a nearby fishing boat.

Six people are heaving a sigh of relief after they were rescued from their smoldering boat last Thursday. Shocking photos of the boat released by the U.S. Coast Guard show the 54-foot cruiser called No Filter fully engulfed in flames. The boat was located about three miles off the coast of Ocean City, Maryland, when the fire began. The owner of the boat contacted the Coast Guard by radio and said all six passengers were abandoning ship.

The Coast Guard was also notified of the fire by some boaters who watched the episode unfold. Crew members of a fishing boat called Smugglers Point arrived before the U.S. Coast Guard Ocean City and pulled the boaters out of the water. A lifeboat boat crew from the Coast Guard arrived shortly after to rescue the survivors and tend to the yacht. Luckily, all on board were wearing life jackets and no one was injured in the incident.

The U.S. Coast Guard posted a picture of the boaters and members of the crew on social media after the rescue was cpmplete. Five of the passengers were taken to port while the owner of the boat stayed behind to wait for the tow boat. The cause of the fire is not known and the condition of the boat is not known.
