All entries will be included in the calendar, but the pets with the most votes will be featured as "Pet of the Month" models.

The Denver Dumb Friends League (DDFL) is hosting a pet photo contest, and your furry friends could be featured! (After all, who doesn't have hundreds of photos of their cats and dogs on their phones?)

According to DDFL, the "top 5 dogs, 5 cats, 1 horse, and 1 small pet in their respective categories will be featured as the main photo for one of the 12 months" in the 2021 calendar. The pets with the most votes will also have the chance to be the "Pet of the Month" and the pet owner can help select the month in which their pet is featured.

"Our photo contest is open to photos of all pets," says DDFL. "Your pet does NOT have to be adopted from the Dumb Friends League to enter the contest."

Entries cost $28 and will guarantee a spot in the calendar, as well as a copy of the 2021 calendar—an $18 value (shipping included in entry fee).

"We're a private nonprofit organization so all of our funding comes from the compassionate community," said Joan Thielen, Public Relations Manager at the Dumb Friends League. "Contests like this pet photo contest are a great way to get involved and support the animals in our care."

Voting ends this Friday, July 31, at 5 p.m. (MT).
