An updated public health order outlines expanded hours past midnight and 2 a.m. for liquor sales and deliveries.

The Denver Department of Public Health updated a public health order to expand hours at liquor stores and restaurants delivering alcohol. Liquor stores can stay open until midnight, and restaurants can deliver alcohol until 2 a.m. (but can't offer takeout past 10 p.m.). The new hours are expanded beyond the original 10 p.m. stop for both.

The updated order comes amid Denver's Level Red risk on the Colorado COVID-19 dial. View the updated public health order here. The following restrictions remain for restaurants during Level Red:

  • No indoor dining
  • Outdoor patio dining only for tables from the same household
  • The last call for outdoor alcohol is 8 p.m.
  • No outdoor alcohol consumption past 10 p.m.
  • Alcohol takeout/curbside service stops at 10 p.m.

Denver County was one of 15 in the state that moved to Level Red on November 20. Level Red, which stands for "Severe Risk," encourages everyone to stay at home by limiting capacity, closing indoor dining, and more. Explore the full restrictions here.
