Are you interested in starting a voter registration drive? Attend the mandatory training session offered in Prince William County!

A great way to get involved in elections is to run a voter registration drive. In Virginia, anyone requesting more than 25 election registration forms must attend a mandatory training session. This upcoming session is hosted by the Prince William Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta in collaboration with the League of Women Voters.

Once completed, the training will be good through June 2020 for all voter registration activities. All participants will receive a certificate of compliance at the end of the session.

According to the chapter president, this is a wonderful way to get involved in your community. In addition to the general training, the Prince William County Office of Elections will lead the group in discussions on how to become an election official in Prince William County. The League of Women Voters will highlight ways to conduct a high school voter registration event, and the group will also discuss the restoration of voter rights for those who are no longer eligible.

"We conduct several registration drives throughout the year. We hope that other groups and individuals that conduct voter registration drives in Northern Virginia will join us in this valuable in-person voter training session." – Lorraine Jackson, President of the Prince William Chapter of Alumnae, Delta Sigma Theta
