The bar company will use the proceeds to help its employees during the coronavirus pandemic.
Whiskey fans have a unique opportunity to score some of the rarest and sought-after vintages of liquor right now. Jack Rose Dining Saloon in Adams Morgan has decided to sell off its more than 2,700 bottles of whiskey in order to help employees weather the coronavirus storm. The saloon will also be selling take-away craft cocktails, beer, and wine.
Jack Rose Dining Saloon, part of a restaurant group the DMV area, began selling off its legendary whiskey collection on March 20, 2020. The reception was so overwhelming they have had to close every other day to count inventory and re-group. Initially, orders could only be placed by phone or in-person, but with lines stretching around the block, they have decided to transition to an online ordering system.

So what can you buy? Jack Rose is selling pours, unopened bottles, and craft cocktails-to-go. Rare and expensive vintages will be 50 percent off, with the rest selling for around 20 percent off. You can see what is available by visiting the bar’s website; prices will be available when you order. Choose from single malt, blended scotch, international and domestic whiskeys. This may your chance to get your hands on some George T. Stagg (if there’s any left). You can also order a cocktail to-go from any of the three restaurants' cocktail menus; Jack Rose, Imperial, and Dram &Grain.
There is one caveat. You can only purchase liquor if you also purchase a food item. The menu at Jack Rose consists of American-style appetizers, small plates, and dinner items. Not too hungry? Order a cheese plate and some beignets. For something more substantial, go with the wild-caught rockfish or the flat iron steak.
