The clinic site will operate weekly, Sunday through Wednesday, as vaccine supplies allow.

A mass vaccination site is now up and running at Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, where hundreds of doses will be administered four days a week to anyone eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine.

The vaccination site is the result of a partnership between health providers, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), and the office of Governor Jared Polis. The state's goal is to set up six mass vaccination sites operational in Colorado by next week.

"We really look for sites that are easily accessible, centrally located, and of course can accommodate it right," Polis said. "I mean have the access roads, the ability to handle the traffic."

The site will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sundays through Wednesdays, by appointment and as allowed by vaccine supply.

"We are able to do 6,000 vaccines a day once we get enough supplies, and we expect that to be as soon as about two weeks from now where this will be going to full capacity," Polis said when he visited the site on Monday.

Anyone eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine under the state's guidelines can go to centura.org/vaccine to register and schedule an appointment.

Additionally, the Broadmoor World Arena vaccination site opened on Wednesday as well as another clinic at the Grand Junction Convention Center in Mesa County. Both Moderna and Pfizer vaccines are available and can be selected when scheduling an appointment.

The state's goal is to open six similar vaccination sites around Colorado. The Ranch in Loveland opened March 24, and Ball Arena in downtown Denver is set to open on April 1.
