An unknown man showed up for jury selection in a pink bunny suit that seemed to reference A Christmas Story.
There are many things one can do in an attempt to get out of jury duty, but showing up in a light pink bunny suit is a first in Colorado.
On Wednesday, December 11, a man turned up at the Jefferson County courthouse in a pink bunny onesie, complete with a hoodie with long pink ears.
While it can't be confirmed, since the individual was not questioned by anyone, it's assumed by witnesses that the bunny suit is in reference to the classic holiday movie, A Christmas Story. The favorite Christmas film shows Ralphie getting an unexpected and unwanted present from his Aunt Clara—a handmade pink bunny suit. Ralph's embarrassment goes to a new level when his mother makes him try it on and show the entire family.

The man was a part of a group of 75 people who were waiting to hear if they would be assigned to a court. In an interview with CBS4, a woman said he didn't appear to be embarrassed or acted strangely. She also stated it seemed like his choice of outfit was deliberate.
As 20 people were randomly called and assigned to court, the rest, including the bunny-suited man, were dismissed and not selected for jury duty. It's not clear if the man's attire had anything to do with not getting selected for jury duty.
Whether the Colorado man wore the bunny suit as a tribute to the holiday season and the film—or as means to get out of jury duty—will remain a holiday mystery.
