The "world's fastest Target Run" is coming to around 20 Maryland stores.
If you live around Baltimore, you're in luck – America's favorite store is making it a whole lot easier to shop.
On Monday, Target announced plans to implement its new "drive-up service" at around 20 Maryland stores in the Baltimore area. Stores in Columbia, Timonium, Cockeysville, White Marsh, Owings Mills, Pikesville, Bel Air, Abingdon, and Bowie will now be offering this convenient service. But it doesn't stop there – stores in Gaithersburg, Lanham, Silver Spring, and Upper Marlboro are also getting onboard.
Drive Up allows customers a quick, easy way to complete their shopping on their own terms. It's simple – Using the Target App to shop, choose Drive Up at checkout and the store will notify you when it's ready for pick up. Then, drive through the parking lot's allotted space and your order will be brought right to your car. Customers will have a week to pick up their order. Talk about convenient!
The service is free and covers a variety of products, though items like perishable food are not eligible at the moment. It's ideal for those hectic work weeks when getting to the store feels like an afterthought!
Along with Maryland, stores in Virginia, New York, and Pennsylvania will also be expanding the service. Drive Up is currently offered in 1,400 Target locations, and the popular retailer plans on expanding it to most stores by the end of 2019. If this is the future of the Target Run, we welcome it with open arms!
Maybe we'll finally be able to control that Target-fueled spending!
