Mother Nature dumped a whole lot of snow on much of the DMV this week, much to everyone's surprise.

Forget the handful of inches that were being estimated on Sunday; towns and counties were reporting up to and over a foot of snow by the time it was all over. The event was quickly dubbed "Snomicron" and Twitter went wild.

It started off with pretty snowfall total shots, with everyone pulling out their rulers and tape measures.

Videos of white-out conditions followed, then things quickly went downhill once traffic started being affected.

In the city, a giant snowball fight broke out, all in good fun.

The big story of the day ended up being the debacle on I-95. It even made national headlines as drivers were stranded for hours on end.

How did you spend Snomicron? Were you toasty at home, or were you stuck in the snow day traffic? Let us know in the comments!
