A fire broke out on a 16-story silo on Thursday morning at the Coors Brewery in Golden. According to reports, it took a crew of 60 from five different fire departments to extinguish the fire—West Metro Fire, Arvada Fire, Fairmount Fire, Golden Fire, and Pleasantview Fire.

Fairmount Fire Chief Alan Fletcher has stated that the silo was empty went it caught fire and that there is no threat to the brewery itself. No injuries occurred.

The fire is said to have started around 11:30 a.m. and was contained by 12:30 p.m. It did not spread to any other sections of the building.

There were wood beams on top of the silo that caught fire, which made it more difficult to access, said Fletcher.
