Give a lucky dog unconditional love this Valentine's Day!
Coors Light is taking a new approach to Valentine's Day this year.
“With almost half of millennials planning to stay in on Valentine’s Day, we wanted to help empower people to savor the day with Coors Light and a dog by their side,” Chelsea Parker, marketing manager at Molson Coors, said in the press release.
To make that happen, the beer company will cover $100 of dog adoption fees for the first 1,000 eligible people across the nation (except California, Louisiana, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Texas, Virginia, or West Virginia where the offer is not available). In order to cuddle up with a new furry friend, you have to be of legal drinking age and adopt a dog between February 4-21. You will then submit the receipt for the adoption fees by texting "COORS4k9" and their adoption receipt to 28130.
The adoption receipt must include:
- Adoption receipt showing adoption cost
- Name of adoption shelter
- Adoption location/state
- Date of adoption (adoption must occur between February 4-21, 2020)
- Animal type (offer only valid for dog adoption)
- All requests must be received by11:59:59 PM CT on February 21, 2020
"Each winter we witness a cultural phenomenon where people couple up to stave off the weather-induced blues. That's why Coors Light encourages you to skip the cheesy Valentine's traditions and spend the day with a fur-ever friend," Coors Light said in a press release.
While the adoption fee reimbursement is a great reason to adopt, it's mostly about giving an animal a loving, stable home. ASPCA statistics show that approximately 1.6 million dogs are adopted each year, and there are many more that would love to have a family.
You can learn more about the offer, the rules, and how to participate on the company's offer page.
