Great News -- OUR MOUNTAINS WILL FINALLY GET SOME SNOW!! Though, mostly in southwest Colorado.

Noted as one of the worst winters in 61 years, Colorado has been a bit snow-barren this season. We've only gotten a few sprinkles of non-sticking snow here in Denver, and I'll be honest -- I'm sick of it. Winter is for SNOW -- this writer didn't get a full weekend to ski in Steamboat for nothin'! Well, good news is in store -- a snowstorm is a-brewing for later this week. It's a depressing sight looking up at the mountains and seeing just a few speckles of snow-caps on the peaks. WHELP, this next winter storm is expected to bring up to two feet of snow to the mountains!

The National Weather Service claims the storm is expected to reach the Four Corners on Tuesday evening and spread across the state. The highest accumulations will be in the mountains of southwestern Colorado, but reports are expecting all mountain areas to get snowfall through Wednesday! Snowpack in the southwestern corner was listed at 27 percent of average on Tuesday, January 9. Statewide, the snowpack is listed at 57 percent of the average. Are you excited to see some snow on the mountains? I know I am ... Now we just need to do a snow dance for two feet ALL OVER Colorado -- or at least here in Denver 😬

Plan a day trip to the majestic Paint Mines!
