Rudolph Doering, a 50-year-old Bristow man, turned himself into Fairfax County Police after being accused of filming a 13-year-old girl in a Hollister changing room at the Fair Oaks Mall.

Chalk it up as another victory for social media. Rudolph Doering turned himself into police after seeing his name plastered all over social media. He stands accused of filming a teenage girl while she was trying on clothes in a changing room at the mall.
The 13-year-old, whose name is being kept private because of her age, reported that she was inside the changing room when she heard a noise. Looking down, she saw a cell phone being held under the changing room wall, apparently recording her. The man holding the cell phone was in the stall next door. The girl told her mother, who notified Hollister staff as well as the police. Fairfax County investigators obtained a warrant charging Doering with one count of attempted unlawful filming of a minor. Shortly thereafter, he turned himself in to the Adult Detention Center. This is not the only ongoing investigation of this type. Fairfax County Police were also recently called to the Red Robin restaurant at the Fair Lakes Mall to respond to a similar call. An underage restaurant employee was accused of filming a child while he was using the bathroom. Red Robin would not cooperate with investigators, so they were forced to obtain a warrant to search through the restaurant's employee records. In this most recent case, however, the Hollister store and its employees were reportedly cooperative with police investigators.
