Helicopters from the 4th Combat Aviation Brigade, 4th Infantry Division are coming home!

There will be 90 helicopters in total arriving back from overseas, some of which are set to arrive at Butts Army Airfield at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 26. Any remaining helicopters will return throughout the week.

UH-60 Black Hawks, AH-64 Apaches, and CH-47 Chinooks are among the helicopters returning to the base.

"The 4th CAB, 4th Inf. Div., deployed in June to Europe to support the Atlantic Resolve mission, which builds readiness, increases interoperability, and enhances the bonds between ally and partner militaries with multinational training events in Bulgaria, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, and Romania," states the Army base.

Because of this, expect to hear more air traffic than usual if you live in the Fort Carson area. If you have any noise complaints during this time, officials at Fort Carson encourage you to contact the Fort Carson Public Affairs Office at (719)-526-9849.

Fort Carson will also continue to inform the public about air movements that may affect any surrounding communities.
