After such a tragic incident in Boulder, Colorado, we all can use a bit of good news.

Tunnel to Towers Foundation announced that it has paid off the mortgage for the family of fallen officer Eric Talley. "They will never have to make another mortgage payment."

Boulder Police Officer Eric Talley was killed in the shooting on March 22, 2021, in the Boulder King Soopers. Nine other people (workers and customers) were killed during the incident. Eric was the first officer on the scene.

Just three days after the incident, the foundation announced that it planned to raise money to pay off his family's mortgage as Eric left behind a wife and seven children.

More than 100 Facebook comments and shares and thousands of dollars donated led to the announcement that the Tunnel to Towers Foundation had, in fact, reached the goal of paying off the entire mortgage. The foundation was honored to share the news with Eric's family.

Tunnel to Towers Foundation has raised nearly $250 million to help fallen heroes and their families. The foundation's focus is on first responders and to honor, empower, and educate those who sacrifice for our everyday safety.

There are many ways to continue helping fallen heroes and their families. Tunnel to Towers Foundation continues to seek donations to meet the current and growing needs. The foundation also organizes climbing events and networks for young professionals.

Thank you, Tunnel to Towers Foundation and donors, for making this possible.
