Check out the list of stores that won't be open on Thanksgiving.
Expect some of your favorite stores to stay closed this Thanksgiving holiday. Walmart and Target have announced their closure along with dozens of other stores. This will be Walmart's first time closing their doors on Thanksgiving in over 30 years. This comes as a departure from what has been the norm in recent years, with some stores opening at 6 p.m. on Thursday for Black Friday shopping.
COVID safety measures are being heightened nationwide this Thanksgiving as the nation prepares itself for an expected second surge this holiday season. To recoup potential sale losses, retailers are putting an emphasis on digital sales as well as offering deals on items earlier in the month.
Target is the latest retailer to announce it is closing on Thanksgiving. It will also offer deals earlier than ever (starting in October) to try and spread out shopping and avoid crowds. https://t.co/T49w0evWBE
