Don’t have time to shop? Virginia Beach currently is one of just four cities in which Amazon offers home delivery of Whole Foods groceries.

Internet giant Amazon announced just recently that customers in four cities -- Cincinnati, Austin, Dallas, and Virginia Beach -- can now order all-natural and organic Whole Foods Market groceries online and have them delivered within a two-hour timeframe. Two-hour delivery of the groceries is free, while for one-hour express delivery of orders more than $35, a service fee of $7.99 is applicable. The announcement comes after Amazon’s acquisition of the health and organic food grocery chain last June and the lowering of Whole Foods’ in-store prices to Amazon Prime members.
Foods available via Amazon Prime Delivery include fresh produce, seafood, meat, dairy, and bakery products, as well as basic staple food items and even certain alcohol products available in local stores. Virginia Beach Whole Foods Market customers who wish to have their groceries delivered can do so between the hours of 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. daily by visiting the Amazon Prime/Whole Foods delivery page or via the Amazon Prime app. Both the website and app also allow customers to enter their zip code to see if delivery is available in their area before becoming a member of Amazon Prime. Amazon Prime Now’s VP says that delivery will be soon offered in other areas, however, the company has not determined when the service will be available outside of the four cities. Visit the Prime delivery page for more info.
