Looks like the Amazon icon got a much-needed trim.

This past January Amazon presented a new app icon, with its typical smirk accompanied by none other than a toothbrush-style mustache. Yikes!

It seems a lot of customers didn't respond too kindly to seeing that kind of style made popular by Adolf Hitler. The actual Amazon app icon has its typical A-Z arrow in smirking fashion, with a blue, ragged tape portrayed above it ... tape definitely looking like the Nazi dictator's hairstyle.

Something has been done about it.

An Amazon spokesperson ended up discussing the changes, saying, "Amazon is always exploring new ways to delight our customers. We designed the new icon to spark anticipation, excitement, and joy when customers start their shopping journey on their phone, just as they do when they see our boxes on their doorstep."

Now, it seems they've settled on a better depiction after all the customer feedback.

Amazon has updated the look, getting rid of the Hitler mustache in favor of a square of tap hinting that it's being peeled back. It resembles what someone may look like slowly ripping off the tape to their new Amazon gift.

Others, however, are jumping in joy about the fact the blue tape now resembles Avatar: the Last Airbender's own Aang and his iconic blue arrow.
