Find love in outer space!
Japanese billionaire Yusaku Maezawa is the first person to pay to visit the moon via Elon Musk's SpaceX. But he doesn't want to go alone.
"I want to find a 'life partner,'" Maezawa is reported as saying by ABC. "With that future partner of mine, I want to shout our love and world peace from outer space."
The eccentric billionaire is worth around $2 billion according to Forbes, although others report his net worth as being closer to $3 billion. He runs an online fashion empire called Zozo, but he hasn't found success in every area of his life.

"I'm sure I've been able to acquire my share of money, social status, and fame along the way. But now I'm restarting my life. I'm 44 now," he wrote. "As feelings of loneliness and emptiness slowly begin to surge upon me, there's one thing that I think about: Continuing to love one woman," reports abcnews.com.
The requirements for his intergalactic soul mate are pretty simple. You must be at least 20 years old, have an interest in going to space, be able to prepare for the mission, and be passionate about world peace. Ideally, you would also have a "bright personality" and enjoy life to the fullest! The application for the deadline was January 17, so, unfortunately, it's too late to apply.
With over 20,000 applicants, competition is fierce and is being made into a reality TV show produced by Japanese streaming service Abema TV. The show is called Full Moon Lovers and is being billed as a "serious matchmaking documentary."

The trip around the moon is set to take place in 2023, so the winner will have plenty of time to prepare and ideally fall in love with Maezawa.
