German sunbather takes on pilfering wild boar in an epic chase.

A nude German bather at a lake near Berlin is making waves online after pictures of an encounter with a wild boar goes viral.

Nude-bathing and sunbathing are allowed at the Teufelssee in West Berlin, and the unidentified man was enjoying an afternoon in the sun when a wild boar in search of food arrived on scene. Drawn in by the smell of pizza, the boar snatched a yellow bag on the beach and hauled tail the other way. The owner of the bag, which had his laptop in it, was not willing to let his belongings become lunch and made haste to catch the hungry pig ... and he didn't hesitate even to put on a towel.

Again, nude sunbathing is common in the area and perfectly legal, so the man had every right to chase the boar sans clothing.

After a cardboard box slowed the boar down, the man made some noise by clapping and banging sticks he'd picked up off the ground and the boar dropped the bag. The man was able to retrieve the unharmed laptop and the boar left, still looking for a snack. When the sunbather returned victoriously, he was met with applause from everyone who had seen the wild chase.

The whole escapade was captured by an onlooker, Adele Landauer, who snapped a few pictures.

"In Berlin, we are free people - we love to bathe in the sun and lake like we are born," she explains, describing that many people were laying on towels and enjoying the day when the boar, trailed by some piglets came looking for a snack.

Yesterday at the lake in Berlin I saw a real hero. A female wild boar with two babies came out of the forest in order to search for food. In Berlin we are free people - we love to bathe in the sun and lake like we are born. So, there were many people laying on their towels completely naked. Many of us were scared but the wild boars seemed to be peaceful. After they ate a pizza from a backpack of a man who was taking a swim in the lake they were looking for a dessert. They found this yellow bag and decided to take it away. But the man who owned it realized it was the bag with his laptop. So, he was very focused and run behind the boars in order to get it back. Everyone of us adored him how focused he stayed and when he came back with his yellow bag in the hand we all clapped and congratulated him for his success. This happens when you’re focused on your goals. xoxoxo Adele . . . #hero #wildboar #berlin #coaching #onlinecourse #digitalcoaching #workshop #businesscoaching #lifecoachingtips #erfolgreichwerden #ausstrahlung #charisma #selbstwert #bewusstsein #kommunikation #selbstbewusstsein #veränderung #gespräch #dialog #selbstverwirklichung #powerfulthoughts #führung #radiance #weiterbildung #zieleereeichen #inspiration #präsentationstraining #publicspeaking #körpersprache #bodylanguage

After getting permission from the sunbather, she posted the pictures and the story on Facebook and Instagram. (We're not sure if the boar approves or not, though.)

Landauer returned to the beach a few days later and found that the boar and piglets were back for more:

Nude sunbathing is an activity in the German capital and is part of what is known as free body culture, referred to in German as Freikorperkultur (FKK)—in particular, the practices of hiking nude and sunbathing nude are very popular. The movement embraces a naturistic view of living and emphasizes the joy of experiencing nature and nudity without it being attached to sexuality. FKK clubs date back to the 1890s, and the movement has always been about honoring the body without shame.

Encounters with wild animals are increasingly common in the area as the animals become more comfortable with humans and come looking for food.
