The "Super Flower Moon" will turn a red color for 84 minutes.

Get ready to turn your eyes toward the skies in May, 'cause we're getting a Super Moon! On Sunday, May 15, into Monday, May 16, the full "Super Flower Moon" will light up the skies and turn a reddish color for roughly 84 minutes.

This Flower Moon will be viewed in both North and South America.

The Flower Moon, also called the Corn Planting Moon and the Milk Moon, will occur at the same time as a total lunar eclipse. Hence, the Super Moon designation.

When there is a total lunar eclipse, the "moon and sun are on opposite sides of [the] earth," says NASA.
