Shoveling snow is hard and annoying. So one Virginia man got a little creative.
Though we all love a good snow day, snowstorms do come with one annoying chore: shoveling the driveway or sidewalk. Sure, shoveling's great exercise, but after about 10 minutes of it, your arms are hurting, you're cold, and you're growing irritable -- What if there were a simple solution to the matter?
Well, toss the shovel aside and pick up your flamethrower to make the job easier and quicker!
One man in Amherst, Virginia, got a little over-excited about making the job easier and decided it would be a good idea to use a flamethrower to melt the snow off his driveway.
According to a report by ABC 8 News, the Virginian behind the creative idea, Nathanael Caplinger, said that he hates shoveling snow and was looking for an easier solution.
Here is video evidence of the act:

Caplinger said that after seeing an ad about a blowtorch in the local paper, which advertised to melt snow, he decided to pick one up. He first checked with the local laws and safety regulations and cleared the idea with them.
If you are considering doing this, it's important to check with your local fire department or police station before blowtorching the snow right off your driveway. If you are looking for safety tips, please check out this list here.
We are there with you dude! Shoveling snow is hard -- We hate it, too! Is this idea genius or stupid? Are you considering blowtorching the snow? Does it look like fun? You be the judge! Let us know in the comments below.
