In honor of its 50th anniversary, Aspen Snowmass is selling lift tickets for a mere $6.50 for one day in December.

For a single day in December, you will be able to ski or snowboard for a mere $6.50 at Aspen Snowmass. The resort, in honor of its 50th anniversary, is selling the cheap lift tickets for the same price they sold for when it first opened in 1967. The lift tickets are only good for one day: Friday, December 15. It's important to note that if you don't have an Aspen Card, an extra $5 charge will be added when you buy online. Tickets are available for adults, seniors, teens, and children -- all for $6.50.
The fun doesn't stop there, though! On Saturday, December 16, Banana Days will make its grand return, but with a modern twist. Enjoy the 50th Anniversary Golden Gala held at The Westin as well as the debut of the film Snowmass: 50 Years of Mountain Spirit. On Sunday, get out your vintage threads as you ski and ride with a Cabin Jump and Rail Jam and a community picnic at the Spider Sabich Picnic and Race Area. Stay updated by visiting the resort's website or Facebook page. Will you be there on December 15? Let us know in the comments below.
