Big plans for the former Sports Authority headquarters map out the nation's biggest rock climbing gym!

Slowly but surely we are saying goodbye to all the old Sports Authority buildings that scattered Denver. One highly anticipated change will come in the way of a HUGE climbing gym to replace the old Sports Authority headquarters.

Fitness company Earth Treks, released a statement announcing their plans to build a 52,000-square-foot climbing gym in the former Sports Authority headquarters building.
Earth Treks Englewood will be the largest gym in the nation! In addition to world-class rope climbing and bouldering terrain, Englewood guests will find their favorite amenities including a yoga studio, fitness and cardio zones, system & campus boards, climbing classes, a retail gear shop and on-site child care" - Official Earth Treks Statement.
Earth Treks already operates a 29,000-square-foot gym in Golden which is quite popular. This new gym will allow Denver-metro dwellers to play in an extremely immersive and well-rounded climbing gym. https://vimeo.com/92928965 Needless to say, we're pretty excited for this huge and clearly jam-packed climbing gym to take over. The statement continues to state the gym aims to open sometime in 2018 - so until we have a definitive date, we'll be on pins and needles to know when we can climb a the biggest climbing gym in the nation!
