Colorado Un-Bridal show raises money for military and first-responder families, and single-parent families.

Rather than a traditional bridal show, where guests pay an enormous amount of money to view various wedding vendors, Chrystal Huskey had a different vision. She wanted a celebration where guests are able to enjoy food and drinks while mingling with wedding experts and gown models. It’s called the Colorado Un-Bridal Show. Chrystal Huskey, founder and event planner of Logistical Meetings and Events, wanted a bridal show that gives its guests an engaging experience that also gives back to the community. The show was held on February 22nd at the Falls Event Center in Littleton, and it was the final event of A Veil and Dress Blues, which supports the James Resource Network non-profit and Brides Across America organization. The campaign raised over $50,000 and had a reach of 400,000 people on social media. “I’ve been really excited to see how much the bridal community cares about single-parent families as well as military and first-responder families,” said Sandra Coen, president and founder of the James Resource Network. The show was vibrant and fun, creating a more relaxed atmosphere for the guests and vendors. Many of the vendors who donated their services come from single-parent families and military and first-responder families, so this event was a wonderful experience for them to give back to their community.
Raffles and prizes were given throughout the night, including spa treatments and weekend getaways. The most coveted prize, however, was a wedding package valued at over $15,000. Mindy and Willie Walker, a couple from Colorado Springs, won the prize. Willie Walker is a sergeant first class in the Army. The couple is married but never had a wedding. Until now. “Our daughter asks us all the time where our wedding photos are… I’m excited to celebrate with our family,” Mindy Walker said.

Have your fairytale wedding at Villa Parker!
