2/28/17 - Commuters in Denver and surrounding areas are being warned to take extra precautions during this evening’s rush hour. According to Denver Public Works, flash freeze conditions may occur as temperatures drop below freezing this evening. Current snowfall may melt on roads and refreeze by the evening.Although plows are currently on duty to drop de-icing material, re-treating roads prior to a flash freeze would only make the roads icier. Denver and surrounding areas can expect blowing winds and up to 2 inches of snow by nightfall. For routine updates on road conditions, view CDOT’s interactive road map here.Drive safe, slow your speed, and use caution.
