The new 17-story "Star Flyer" rubs elbows with the tallest rides in Colorado.
Elitch Gardens Theme and Water Park has re-opened for the 2017 season, and in keeping with their goals to keep growing and developing, they've unveiled an extreme swing ride that will leave you breathless as you soar around the beautiful Denver sky. Denver, meet the "Star Flyer"!
With capacity for 48 guests at a time, "Star Flyer" features 24 open-air seats that sit two across. It lifts its riders 17 stories above the theme park and flies them at speeds of 50 mph in circles around the tower, their feet dangling high above their other favorite park attractions below.

The iconic Denver theme park has opened seven new rides over the last six years and is investing $4 million in new capital in this season alone.
They'll be unveiling a new water slide ride in the Island Kingdom Water Park when that portion of the park opens later this month; the six-story "Mega Wedgie" offers three new body slides that will get riders up to 40 mph (and apparently give them a wedgie?) before dumping them into the pool at the bottom.
